Massage Cupping coming real soon plus this week's availability!

Happy Sunday all! I wanted to blog a little today about this new technique I learned about called Massage Cupping.   After learning about it, I can't wait to introduce it in my massage practice.
What is Massage Cupping? Massage Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine, where a therapist places cups over areas of your skin to create a vacuum.  Blood is drawn up into the tissues to stimulate healing.  I also like to think of it as a reverse-compression massage.  The vacuum can draw from 4 inches within the body. Think about all the tissues this is affecting!
What are the benefits of Massage Cupping? When I learned of all the benefits of Massage Cupping, I was very impressed.  I had already began to visualize the clients this technique would greatly benefit.   These benefits include: Improves circulationRemoval of deep toxins that have been stored away in tissueLoosen and flushing of metabolic wasteReleases tense and chronically tight musclesImproved joint functionLoosen ad…

Therapy products I love that I know you will too!

Hi!  Today I wanted to talk about one of many products I use and absolutely love!
Many of you have been asking me about the aromatherapy essential oil diffuser* I have on at the office and I just wanted to talk more about it, as I'm sure I ramble on about it at the office and it's usually after you've received your massage which means you probably are only half aware of what I'm babbling about.

I love my mister for a few reasons.  First and most important to me, was that it's a dry mist that diffuses any essential oil I would like.  This means that if I or a client is having a bad allergy day, I could diffuse a great sinus blend essential oil like the Breath Easier Synergy Blend essential oil which is a lovely blend of  peppermint, rosemary, lemon and eucalyptus essential oils.  I also use it for the Aromanap service I offer that can be added to any massage and add a few drops of Lavender essential oil to it to help my clients relax and fall fast asleep.

The mist…

Strengthen your posture to reduce back pain

If you're sitting for the majority of your day, whether it's due to a job that has you seated at your desk, or you drive long distances, or any other reason, your body is being trained to remain in a weakened posture. That being said, while you may never be perfectly straight, there are ways to alleviate your pain by strengthening your posture.

Low back pain from sitting is due to mechanical stress on the body. When the body isn't well-aligned, your posture and therefore, balance, is weak. When you stand up with weak posture, the simple act of balancing will overwork some muscles and cause stress on joints. The key to reducing this strain is to
improve balance, the ability to control how you balance, and to retrain muscles and nerves for less pain and better function.

The first step towards stronger posture is improving the symmetry of how your body moves on each side. In fact, just changing the position from which you move can help free up locked and stiff joints, resultin…

Today's IMPORTANT NEWS, Mother's Day Special and appointment availability for week of 4/30/2017

Happy Sunday to you!
Today I decided to see how my website has been doing.  Recently, I had been hearing that it was down. Although, it seemed like I was able to get the site back up, it didn't appear to be the case this morning.
Well, the important news I have for you today is that my site is growing through changes.  (Yes I meant growing and not just going.)  Change means growth so it's growing.  At least, that's the way I have to look at it, so as not to yank my hair out!
When you visit you'll see a whole new look.  I admit, it's somewhat bland, but it's a work in progress.  You'll also note that it's attached to my wellness and nutrition website, which is one of my goals this year; combining the two businesses. MY EMAIL ADDRESS HAS CHANGED, as well.  Please be sure that you save my new email address in your contacts, as is no longer valid. (My other mini night…
